i am with you mate … it is the biggest part of my job here in 1770 to read the weather and even if we have amazing tools online the best still is to have some knowledge of reading what you see (clouds, waves, charts … ) even with all that it is still a science that is real hard to predict specially a the moment where nature is all over the place and plays funny …

Was nice to meet you in Dakhla a couple of weeks back. Hope you had a good time for the rest of it although am hearing reports that it was pretty sweet after the two days of no wind.

Anyway hope you have a good time in South America. Let me know of any further travels or when you are in the UK/South Wales area so we can have a session with the club!

Have a great time in South America. Should be heaps of snow if getting into snow kiting Just back from European trip and it has been a blast The best yet but should have taken my paraglder!!

Hi Louis

What a fantastic journey. I was sent a link to you by Fabio Nobre from Club Ventos in Jeri.

I’m also doing a trip – kite buggying along the beaches (and skirting around the odd mangrove swamp!) from Natal to Jericoacoara with my brother in 5 weeks time. We’ve just set up a website, and I’ve mentioned you in my latest blog post here: http://kitebuggyadventure.wordpress.com/2011/06/18/mad-way-south-and-other-inspiring-journeys/

We intend to stay in local pousadas and sleep rough in the remote spots, and like you will be doing the whole thing unsupported. Any advice you would like to give about the area would be appreciated, as this is definitely the biggest challenge we’ve ever faced!

Fantastic, inspiring writing and yes, all we know is perceived reality and therefore perceived truth. People like Hendri and yourself, get insight into ultimate truth, through their pursuits.
It comes with having to be so in the moment, that there is no room for anything else. It is in that moment of being one with everything around you, that ultimate truth shows.

Your friend sounds a real adventurer Louis. When you are young and single with no direct family ties it is a great time to live the dream and expand the horizons and find your own personal level of competence. The inquisitive nature of some of our family has seen some adventures and things achieved that others only dream of. I suppose you know my book is called ‘Memories not Dreams’ and the explanation is in the preface. Enjoy your new life
